sb0bet James Chester says the Wales squad prepared for their return to domestic duties with late nights - to counter the time difference - at the China Cup.

Ryan Giggs took charge of the national side for the first time in the four-team competition in Nanning during the international break and contended with an eight-hour time difference with the UK.

Chester believes their decision to keep to a four-hour time difference during their week stay in Asia will enhance their preparation for this weekend's fixtures.

"It's been a bit strange staying up till half three, four in the morning, and having your breakfast at one," Aston Villa defender Chester said.

"But it was for that reason, to make sure when we get home it's not as difficult to get back to normal life.

"It was a very long time ago when I last stayed up that late, and it certainly won't be a regular thing. sb0bet

"It has been strange but it will make it a lot easier getting back - and some of us have got massive games coming up."

Villa travel to Chester's former club Hull on Saturday aiming to maintain their Championship promotion push, live on Sky Sports Football.

Wales teammates Chris Gunter, Billy Bodin, Lee Evans and Marley Watkins will return to domestic action earlier on Good Friday.

Giggs' squad returned home on Tuesday after losing 1-0 to Uruguay in the China Cup final, as Paris St Germain striker and player of the tournament Edinson Cavani scored the winner.

Chester believes Uruguay could be one of the dark horses at this summer's World Cup if Cavani continues to impress alongside strike partner Luis Suarez.

"They are probably one of the best you're going to come up against," Chester said.

"If you qualify for top tournaments that's the standard, they are top quality.

"We've done a lot of work in a short space of time, but it's one of the best attacks you're going to face in world football.

"From the moment I started playing international football, it was for that reason. Hopefully there is more of that to come." sb0bet

Jamie Vardy ready for Riyad Mahrez transfer speculation this summer

sbobet asia Jamie Vardy is prepared for speculation surrounding Riyad Mahrez's Leicester future to continue in the summer transfer window. Mahrez, who handed in a second transfer request in January to force through a move away from the club, was the subject of a cash-plus-player offer from Manchester City worth an estimated £60m on Deadline Day of the winter window.

However, Vardy insists he and his Leicester team-mates must not be distracted by the transfer fanfare surrounding Mahrez. "I think it's happened in the last four transfer windows, so we just get on with it," Vardy exclusively told Sky Sports News, when asked if he suspects another club will attempt to sign the winger. sbobet asia

"What happens will happen, we'll have to wait and see, obviously, until the transfer window." Vardy also sternly rejected speculation that the Leicester squad are displeased with boss Claude Puel, who is reportedly fighting to keep his job at the King Power Stadium. "There's no truth in that at all," Vardy added. "If you look in training everyday, and obviously the games, you can see the players are trying to implement exactly what he wants us to do.

When asked what Puel is like behind closed doors, he said: "He's thoughtful about this football, but obviously behind the scenes, on the training field he's telling you exactly what he wants you to be doing, what you should be doing and every so often, to be fair to him, he gets involved in a few saucy challenges." sbobet asia

Friendly international round-up: Germany squeeze past Saudi Arabia

beer789 Germany completed their preparations for the World Cup with a 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia in Leverkusen on Friday night. Joachim Low's side brought to an end five matches without a victory - their worst run of form since 1988. However, despite dominating for most of the game at the BayArena after taking an early lead through Timo Werner, the world champions could have ended up with an embarrassing draw after Saudi Arabia's late revival.

After Omar Hawsawi's own goal doubled Germany's lead, Taisir Al-Jassim set up a nervy final six minutes for the hosts, who were without Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, sitting out the match as a precaution because of a knee problem.

Elsewhere on Friday, strikes from captain Robert Lewandowski and midfielder Piotr Zielinski were not enough to give World Cup-bound Poland victory over Chile, who fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 in a friendly in Poznan. Poland took the lead when Bayern Munich striker Lewandowski found the net in the 30th minute following a precise pass from Paris St Germain midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak.

The hosts appeared to have sealed victory four minutes later when Napoli's Zielinski beat Chile 'keeper Gabriel Arias after being set up by Kamil Grosicki. Yet Chile, who failed to qualify for the World Cup and were playing without some of their biggest stars, got back in the game in the 39th minute when Diego Valdes headed home following a Polish defensive error. beer789

Poland coach Adam Nawalka made a string of substitutions at half-time and they came out after the break in a more aggressive fashion with two strikers on the pitch as Napoli's Arkadiusz Milik joined Lewandowski. Chile, however, levelled in the 56th minute through Miiko Albornoz. Meanwhile, goals in each half from defender Ricardo Rodriguez - from the penalty spot - and striker Haris Seferovic helped Switzerland beat fellow World Cup finalists Japan 2-0 in Lugano.

And finally, Croatia came from a goal down to beat Senegal 2-1 in Osijek in a warm-up clash that also featured two teams heading to Russia 2018. Ismaila Sarr had given the visitors a 48th-minute lead, only for the home side to respond with goals from Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic (63) and Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric (84). beer789
